Treatment Specialties

Anxiety

Feeling anxious is a common reason why people want to speak to a counsellor. If anxiety is stopping you from living your life to the fullest and you are having changes in your feelings, thoughts or behaviours then it might be time to talk. Listening to your concerns by a qualified counsellor can assist you with developing coping skills to help in reducing the symptoms.

Depression

We all have good days and bad days and some people will feel that things are just not getting better and could even start interfering with your everyday life. Talking and sharing your worries with a supportive counsellor can walk with you through effective treatment and strategies to assist in developing helpful coping skills to lead a fruitful and gratifying life.

Trauma

Experiencing a traumatic event can affect your everyday life and cause you to feel a range of anger, guilt or fear. Working with you to focus on restoring a sense of safety first is an important part of therapy. Once this is achieved the counselling then can start with strategies to deal with the trauma directly when the time is right for you in a safe, supportive environment.

Grief & Loss

Distressing life events can occur randomly, uncontrollably and can transpire without warning; this can have an overwhelming effect on people’s lives. Seeking counselling for grief and loss can assist a person in sustaining a healthy bond to their loss and learn to deal with their emotions as they move forward in their life.

Counseling can be highly beneficial in helping individuals navigate through life’s challenges and find positive solutions. A trained counselor provides a safe and confidential space for you to express your thoughts, emotions, and concerns. By actively listening and offering support, guidance, and non-judgmental feedback, counselors can help you gain insight into your feelings and behaviors.

Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental and essential part of the counseling process. When you engage in counseling sessions, everything you discuss is kept strictly confidential. This means that your counselor will not share any information about you or your sessions with others unless you give them permission to do so. Your privacy and trust are of utmost importance, and counselors adhere to strict professional ethics and legal guidelines to maintain confidentiality.
