Hi, I'm Tracey

I am a certified clinical counsellor with a bachelor’s degree and a proud member of PACFA. I understand that seeking support can feel overwhelming, especially when facing life’s challenges. You may be struggling with emotions that feel too heavy to bear, navigating difficult circumstances, or processing past experiences that continue to affect your well-being. But you don’t have to go through this alone.

My approach is compassionate, respectful, and nonjudgmental. I provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. Together, we will work through past and present difficulties, helping you gain clarity, resilience, and renewed hope.

With extensive experience supporting adolescents and adults, I specialise in trauma recovery, PTSD/Complex PTSD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, depression, grief, and anxiety. As a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapist, I use evidence-based techniques to help clients process distressing memories and overcome the impact of trauma.

I also welcome NDIS clients and Workcover referrals. I take great satisfaction in assisting individuals to reconnect socially and engage in meaningful community participation. Additionally, I am a dedicated provider under the approved Queensland Government Redress Scheme, offering a compassionate and empowering space for survivors on their healing journey.

Healing is a journey, and every step forward—no matter how small—moves us closer to a healthier, more fulfilling life. Your mental and emotional well-being is just as important as your physical health. I am here to walk alongside you, offering guidance, support, and the tools you need to heal, grow, and confidently move forward.

You are not alone. Together, we can create a path toward healing and resilience.

Reconciliation - Vision & Values

Reconciliation

  • Tracey Louise Counselling with Heart acknowledges and respects Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul people, the Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Traditional Owners of the land where we gather today and pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging. I recognise their connection and role to Country, in addition to caring for and maintaining Country over thousands of years. May we walk respectfully together.

Vision

  • My vision as a counsellor is to provide clients with a safe space where they can share and narrate their own individual story. I give as much autonomy/freedom as is necessary to clients to comfortably discuss their story at their own pace within the session.

Values

  • My values as a counsellor are to show kindness and compassion whilst demonstrating a non-judgemental and empathetic response.  At all times I maintain respect, dignity and confidentiality.   I walk with clients listening as they communicate their individual and highly personal narrative.  I provide tools, techniques, and worksheets throughout the session which  facilitate improved mental health and wellbeing.
