Overview
Being neurodivergent means you have varied mental functions compared to neurotypical people, which includes autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and any other neurological or development conditions.
ASD can pose challenges to social interactions as well as sensory issues with hypersensitivity to touch, sounds or smells, while people with ADHD may struggle to succeed in school, work or relationships due to their impulsive nature and short-attention span.
Therefore, counselling may provide effective management tools tailored to help a person cope better with their specific challenges.
